Run, Walk and Stroll at Club Manila East

During Sundays, I manage to get up early and have a run at Club Manila East Compound in Taytay Rizal. It is just near our house, so going there is just a 15 minute run (hmm, that would be around 3 Km already for me). The place is safe and it is well paved. There are runners and passerby alike in the area, but the place is very peaceful. It is where the municipal hall of Taytay is erected after all (i think, this is the only municipal hall in the country that stands on a private compound where public transpo is not allowed inside... how's that?).

Funny, there is a start and finish line.

Anyway, this is a good place to run and stretch those muscles. Many runners in this side of the metropolis do practice their runs in this area. In fact, i've seen some Kenyans running around the compound. There are also a bunch of bikers in the area. In fact, there are bike rental shop in the area. But the bikes they offer are the BMX-like and "Winter Sonata" bike (i don't know what you call it. I think those are Japanese bikes).

The place is also frequented by families. They usually go there with there car, and just park it on the street. Here, they stroll their kids and play with them (badminton, skateboard).
No, that's not my car..In fact, there is none.

Every Sunday, i usually run here with my nephew. He is already 14 years old, and is very much athletic than i am. Of course, he is always ahead of me when we are running. He still has the stamina and endurance to run long distance without experiencing fatigue.

This is my nephew

For me, i have to settle with running a few minutes, then walking for another few minutes, before running again for few minutes. That is just my cycle..... for now. hehe. Time will come, I know. With this routine every Sunday, i know i can survive. Hopefully, this every Sunday routine will be on a regular basis of three to four times a week - that is if time will permit.
Oops, one of my rest periodsssssssss...

Till the next Sunday...
